A pupal specific tracheal branch that arises from the cerebropharyngeal branch, lateral to the cerebral anastomosis and posterior to the cerebral branch. It tracheates the pharynx and cephalothorax.
Figure 23 of Manning and Krasnow (1993) establishes a correspondence between their nomenclature and the one used by Whitten (1957) - FBrf0011558 in figure 2. To note, however, that the larval pharyngeal branch (FBbt:00000394) corresponds to the dorsal cervical anterior branch (as in table 1 of Manning and Krasnow (1993)), not to the posterior one.
