Neuroblast NB5-4 found in an abdominal segment. In A9, it begins to express doublesex in the late embryo, resulting in sexually-dimorphic behavior in the larva (Birkholz et al., 2013). It does not produce a secondary lineage in A1-7 (Lacin and Truman, 2016).
