It follows the dorsoposterior protocerebral tract and has terminals in a wide domain covering much of the ventromedial cerebrum and anteriorly adjacent lateral accessory lobe, ipsilaterally (Blanco et al., 2011; Hartenstein et al., 2017). It also innervates the gnathal and thoracic neuromeres (Blanco et al., 2011). There are 2-3 of these neurons per hemisphere (Blanco et al., 2011; Hartenstein et al., 2017).
