Local (intrinsic) neuron of the adult antennal lobe that innervates a continuous region of the antennal lobe, targeting a larger number of glomeruli than oligoglomerular (sparse) neurons and fewer glomeruli than broad neurons (Chou et al., 2010; Coates et al., 2020; Schlegel et al., 2021). These cells can usually be split into an axonal and a dendritic compartment (Schlegel et al., 2021).
