ORN_DM3 [FBbt_00067054]

Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or47a and Or33b (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from basiconic sensillum ab5 and it responds to esters (Benton et al., 2025). It innervates the antennal lobe glomerulus DM3 bilaterally, fasciculating with the antennal lobe commissure (Kaur et al., 2019). It develops from an Nba precursor (Benton et al., 2025). There are approximately 30 of these cells on each side (Grabe et al., 2016; Benton et al., 2025).
