Adult fruitless neuron that has its cell body in the posterior medial protocerebrum (Cachero et al., 2010. There are approximately 12 of these cells per hemisphere (Cachero et al., 2010. (Cachero et al., 2010, Ren et al., 2016)
Cachero et al., 2010 report around 12 cells per cluster in males and females, but only 2 cells belong to the DM3 lineage according to Ren et al., 2016.
