antennal mechanosensory and motor center AMMC PN3 projection neuron [FBbt_00111292]

Adult antennal mechanosensory and motor center (AMMC) projection neuron with its cell body is located medially, dorsal to the protocerebral bridge, and a primary neurite that projects ventrally, close to the midline (Matsuo et al., 2016; Chang et al., 2016. Its dendritic branch innervates zones C and E of the AMMC (Chang et al., 2016 and an axonal branch projects to the wedge (Vaughan et al., 2014; Chang et al., 2016. There are also presynapses on the dendritic branch (Vaughan et al., 2014. It responds to displacement of the antenna (Chang et al., 2016. There are around 7 of these cells per hemisphere (Vaughan et al., 2014. (Chang et al., 2016, Matsuo et al., 2016, Vaughan et al., 2014)

Adult Nervous system Neuron

Adult antennal mechanosensory and motor center (AMMC) projection neuron with its cell body is located medially, dorsal to the protocerebral bridge, and a primary neurite that projects ventrally, close to the midline (Matsuo et al., 2016; Chang et al., 2016. Matsuo et al., 2016 say that dendrites are in zones B and E, but Chang et al., 2016 show that dendrites are restricted to zones C/E and aPN3 is not activated by A/B JONs, in accordance with Vaughan et al., 2014.
