ORN_VM7v [FBbt_00067007]

Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or59c (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from maxillary palp basiconic sensillum pb3 and it responds to butyl 3-hydroxybutyrate (Benton et al., 2025). Its axon innervates glomerulus VM7v, bilaterally (Benton et al., 2025). It develops from an Nab precursor (Benton et al., 2025). There are approximately 13-20 of these cells on each side in females and around 30 in males (Grabe et al., 2016; Benton et al., 2025).
