ORN_VC4 [FBbt_00067027]

Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or67c (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from antennal basiconic sensillum ab7 and it responds to ethyl lactate and alcohols (Benton et al., 2025). Its axon innervates antennal lobe glomerulus VC4, bilaterally (Benton et al., 2025). It develops from an Nba precursor (Benton et al., 2025). There are around 11-14 of these cells on each side (Grabe et al., 2016; Benton et al., 2025).
