ORN_DM1 [FBbt_00067046]

Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or42b (Benton et al., 2025). Its axon innervates antennal lobe glomerulus DM1, bilaterally (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from antennal basiconic sensillum ab1 and it responds to esters (Benton et al., 2025). It develops from an Nba precursor (Benton et al., 2025). There are approximately 30-40 of these cells on each side (Grabe et al., 2016; Benton et al., 2025).
