embryonic heart ostial cardioblast [FBbt_00007324]
Embryonic cardioblast that will become a larval ostial cell (Molina and Cripps, 2001).They can be recognized by their expression of seven up, and in the assembled dorsal vessel of the late embryo, there are two in each of hemisegments A5-A7 (Molina and Cripps, 2001; Zaffran et al., 2006; Chen et al., 2016). They begin to differentiate into ostial cells at the end of embryogenesis (Lehmacher et al., 2012).
