Glial cell Nervous system

Glial cell in a neuromuscular junction that interacts with fine terminal axon branches of a motor neuron that synapse with the muscle (Strauss et al., 2015. Its cell body is located in the periphery, near the terminal branches of the motor axons (Strauss et al., 2015. Several perisynaptic glial cell are present over the muscle surface, with each one occupying a distinct territory and contacting local synapses (Strauss et al., 2015. These cells also have processes that interact with trachea (Danjo et al., 2011. (Danjo et al., 2011, Strauss et al., 2015)

Perisynaptic glia appear to be absent from larval body wall muscles (Strauss et al., 2015.
