Glial cell of the developing embryonic peripheral nervous system. There are 12 of these cells per abdominal hemisegment. They arise in the late embryonic stage 12 or early stage 13 and migrate along the peripheral nerves until stage 16. They give rise to perineurial, subperineurial, and wrapping glial cells of the late embryonic and larval peripheral nervous system (von Hilchen et al., 2008; von Hilchen et al., 2013.
