Glial cell Larva Nervous system

A peripheral glial cell associated with the intersegmental nerve (ISN) that is located between PG1 (ePG4) and PG3 (ePG10). There are 4 of these (von Hilchen et al., 2008).

This term refers to PG2 from the old nomenclature of Klambt and Goodman, 1991, which has been largely superseded by the more fine grained nomenclature of von Hilchen et al., 2008. The term has been kept as a grouping term for ePG6-9 as it has been used in curation a number of times, but the name has been changed to avoid confusion with ePG2 from the new nomenclature, which is a completely different cell.
