Diuretic hormone 44 (DH44)-expressing neuron with a cell body located in the pars intercerebralis. There are three of these cells per hemisphere and they co-express leucokinin receptor (Cabrero et al., 2002; Cannell et al., 2016. These cells follow the nervus corporis cardiaci out of the brain (McKim et al., 2024). (Cannell et al., 2016, Cabrero et al., 2002)
