One of the five pit sensilla located in the distal region of the terminal organ, on the head of the embryo/larva. It is distal to pit sensillum T4. It is innervated by three dendrites, one of which terminates more proximally and ends with a tubular body, indicative of mechanosensation and one of which is gustatory receptor neuron C4 (Rist and Thum, 2017. (Rist and Thum, 2017, Singh and Singh, 1984)
