One of the five pit sensilla located in the distal region of the terminal organ, on the head of the embryo/larva, proximal to pit sensillum T2. It is innervated by two dendrites, neither of which contain mechanosensory tubular bodies and one of which is gustatory receptor neuron C13 (Rist and Thum, 2017. (Rist and Thum, 2017, Singh and Singh, 1984)
