P6-8P9
ID: FBbt_00111056
Large field neuron of the central complex that is intrinsic to the protocerebral bridge. It has ipsilateral dendritic arbors in the four lateralmost glomeruli (6 to 9) and axon terminals in glomerulus 9 (Wolff et al., 2015; Hulse et al., 2021). It develops from neuroblast PBp1 (Kandimalla et al., 2023. (Wolff et al., 2015, Kandimalla et al., 2023)
This neuron type was initially identified as synapsing in 6 glomeruli (Lin et al., 2013. Arborizations were later redescribed by Wolff et al., 2015 (4 glomeruli) and Hulse et al. (2021) (4 + small amount in G5).
