ORN_DL4 [FBbt_00067055]
Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or49a and Or85f (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from basiconic sensillum ab10 and it responds to iridoids (Benton et al., 2025). Its axon innervates antennal lobe glomerulus DL4, bilaterally (Benton et al., 2025). It expresses sNPF (Carlsson et al., 2010). It develops from an Nba precursor (Benton et al., 2025). There are approximately 20-25 of these cells per side in females and around 10 in males (Grabe et al., 2016; Benton et al., 2025).
