Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or43a (Benton et al., 2025. Its dendrite transduces signals from antennal intermediate sensillum ai3 and it responds to indoles and alcohols (Benton et al., 2025. It expresses sNPF (Carlsson et al., 2010. It innervates the antennal lobe glomerulus DA4l bilaterally, fasciculating with the antennal lobe commissure (Kaur et al., 2019. It develops from an Naa precursor (Benton et al., 2025. There are approximately 20 of these on each side (Benton et al., 2025. (Kaur et al., 2019, Lin and Potter, 2015, Benton et al., 2025, Carlsson et al., 2010, Grabe et al., 2016, Ronderos et al., 2014, Couto et al., 2005)
