Ito et al., 2013 only found two-cell clones of this lineage and note the possibility that these are first born neurons of another lineage (most likely SMPad2), so the 'SMPad4' neuroblast may not exist. This possibility is also noted in Schlegel et al. (2024) - FlyBase:FBrf0260535.
