Larva Nervous system Serotonergic

Larval serotonergic IP neuron whose cell body is located anteriorly to the dorsal basolateral protocerebrum. A primary neurite projects to and innervates the antennal lobe. Another process projects dorsally to innervate the lateral and medial region of the posterior brain, including the region around the mushroom body. A single neurite crosses the midline and arborizes in the contralateral antennal lobe. (Valles and White, 1988, Huser et al., 2012)
