Adult fruitless neuron that develops from neuroblast BAmas2 (FLAa3) (Yu et al., 2013. It has its soma in the anterior dorsal part of the subesophageal zone (Sterne et al., 2021. It is a projection neuron that has dendritic arborizations in the prow and flange and axonal terminals in the superior medial protocerebrum, extending laterally in both hemispheres (Yu et al., 2010; Sterne et al., 2021. There are approximately 50 of these cells per hemisphere (Cachero et al., 2010. (Yu et al., 2013, Ito et al., 2013, Cachero et al., 2010, Sterne et al., 2021, Yu et al., 2010, Kimura et al., 2008)
