Embryonic peripheral glial cell associated with the intersegmental nerve (ISN), located at its distal end, laterally to ePG9 (von Hilchen et al., 2008. It develops from a sensory organ precursor cell (Nelson and Laughon, 1993; von Hilchen et al., 2008 and gives rise to a subperineurial glial cell (von Hilchen et al., 2013. (Goodman and Doe, 1993, Bodmer et al., 1989, Klambt and Goodman, 1991, von Hilchen et al., 2008, Nelson and Laughon, 1993, von Hilchen et al., 2013)

The position of the cell body of ePG10 is fixed: it is found at its position 100% of the time. This analysis was done using specific cell markers and taking into account which nerve the cell is associated with (von Hilchen et al., 2008. Mapping to from the terminology of Klambt and Goodman, 1991, is also from von Hilchen et al., 2008.
