Small and broad dorsal hair of the dorsal region of the larval cuticle. There are 2 to 3 rows of hairs per segment. These rows are posterior to the smooth cuticle and anterior to the rows of dorsal fine hairs. (Bokor and DiNardo, 1996, Campos-Ortega and Hartenstein, 1997)
