Adult descending neuron with its soma anterior-ventral to the gnathal ganglion (Schlegel et al., 2024; Dorkenwald et al., 2024). In the brain, it has postsynapses and presynapses in the gnathal ganglion, the prow and the contralateral flange, as well as postsynapses in the ipsilateral flange (Schlegel et al., 2024; Dorkenwald et al., 2024). In the VNC, it follows the ventral median tract of ventral cervical fasciculus (Sturner et al., 2025). There are approximately 2 of these cells per organism (Schlegel et al., 2024; Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Sturner et al., 2025) and they are DSOG1 neurons (Sturner et al., 2025).

Type identified at light level and matched across EM datasets by Sturner et al. (2025). Pre- or post-synapse locations are the fewest regions that collectively contain at least 80 percent of all pre- or post-synapses of these neurons in FlyWire.
