These neurons are found only in the thoracic segments, and are the dorsalmost des neurons (Dambly-Chaudiere and Ghysen, 1986. (Campos-Ortega and Hartenstein, 1997, Dambly-Chaudiere and Ghysen, 1987, Dambly-Chaudiere and Ghysen, 1986)
