CB0499
ID: FBbt_00051932
Adult local neuron with its soma in the ventral gnathal ganglion (Sterne et al., 2021. It has both dendritic and axonal arborization in the gnathal ganglion, with biased synapse distribution within this region (Sterne et al., 2021. It is mainly ipsilateral, but arborizes close to the midline (Sterne et al., 2021. It receives a large amount of input from sugar-sensing gustatory neurons and its activation results in proboscis extension (Shiu et al., 2022. It is predicted to be a cholinergic (Shiu et al., 2022 primary neuron (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024. There are 2 of these cells per organism (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024. (Sterne et al., 2021, Shiu et al., 2022, Dorkenwald et al., 2024)
Neurotransmitter prediction based on machine learning classification (Shiu et al., 2022. FlyWire CB0499 mapped to rattle in Shiu et al., 2024 - FBrf0260565 supplement.
