Larva Nervous system Sense organ

Campaniform sensillum located in the distal region of the terminal organ, on the head of the embryo/larva. There are three of these sensilla and each contains the dendrite of a mechanosensory neuron, which terminates more proximally and ends with a tubular body, as well as dendrites from gustatory receptor neurons (Rist and Thum, 2017. (Rist and Thum, 2017, Singh and Singh, 1984)
