adult lateral horn Leucokinin neuron [FBbt_00110058]
Adult neuron that expresses Leucokinin and whose large cell body is located in the lateral horn (de Haro et al., 2010). Its thin processes run ventrally before bifurcating into two main collateral branches which innervate the superior lateral and medial protocerebrum, and the region around the mushroom body pedunculus and calyx (de Haro et al., 2010). There is one of these neurons per hemisphere (de Haro et al., 2010; Cavey et al., 2016).
