Adult female fruitless neuron that develops from neuroblast BLAv1 (VLPl&d1) (Ito et al., 2013; Yu et al., 2013). There are approximately 20 of these cells per hemisphere, with somas forming two clusters close to the ventrolateral protocerebrum (Kimura et al., 2008; Cachero et al., 2010; Yu et al., 2010).

Adult female fruitless neuron that develops from neuroblast BLAv1 (VLPl&d1) (Ito et al., 2013; Yu et al., 2013). There are approximately 20 of these cells per hemisphere, with somas forming two clusters close to the ventrolateral protocerebrum (Kimura et al., 2008; Cachero et al., 2010; Yu et al., 2010).
Yu et al. (2010) - FBrf0211884 map aIP1 to Cachero et al. (2010) aIP-d and to AL6b from Kimura et al. (2008) - FBrf0205974, but Cachero et al. (2010) map aIP1 (and AL6b and AL5b) to aIP-c. Ito et al. (2013) - FBrf0221438 also give lineage as VLPl&d1 for aIP-c and AL5b/6b.
