BrainTrap
Protein-trap expression patterns in the adult brain, from the BrainTrap collection.
Introduction
BrainTrap is a collection of protein-trap lines imaged in the adult brain. Unlike an enhancer-fragment driver, a protein trap reports the expression of the gene it is inserted into, so these patterns speak to endogenous gene expression rather than to a fragment’s activity.
The original collection is browsable at braintrap.virtualflybrain.org, which VFB hosts.
