Adult Muscle

Adult leg muscle with fibers that originate at the distal end of the tibial cuticle and attach to the tarsal depressor tendon in a position proximal their origin sites (Soler et al., 2004; Azevedo et al., 2024).

Soler et al. (2004) say that fibers of these muscles do not attach to a tendon, this is corrected in Azevedo et al. (2024), who show that they insert on the tarsus depressor tendon - hence rename to tarsus retro depressor muscle.
