Adult Nervous system Sense organ

A sense organ located in a pit in the anterior wall of the thorax - immediately under the neck. It consists of a plate of sensory hairs whose innervating neurons have their cell bodies in a small ganglion behind the organ and project through the prosternal nerve to the prothoracic neuromere.
