Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or10a and the gustatory receptor Gr10a (Fishilevich and Vosshall, 2005. Its dendrite transduces signals from antennal basiconic sensillum ab1 and it responds to esters (Benton et al., 2025. Its axon innervates antennal lobe glomerulus DL1, bilaterally (Benton et al., 2025. It develops from an Naa precursor (Benton et al., 2025. There are approximately 35 of these cells in females and 25 in males, on each side (Grabe et al., 2016; Benton et al., 2025. (Fishilevich and Vosshall, 2005, Grabe et al., 2016, Couto et al., 2005, Hallem et al., 2004, Benton et al., 2025)
