ORN_DC1 [FBbt_00067018]
Adult olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) that expresses Or19a and Or19b (Benton et al., 2025). Its dendrite transduces signals from antennal intermediate sensillum ai3 and it responds to terpenes (Benton et al., 2025). It innervates the antennal lobe glomerulus DC1 bilaterally, fasciculating with the antennal lobe commissure (Kaur et al., 2019). It develops from an Nba precursor (Benton et al., 2025). There are around 20 of these cells on each side (Grabe et al., 2016; Benton et al., 2025).
