Neuroblast that produces a secondary lineage of approximately 27-28 cells, with posterior somas, that collectively have greatest innervation in and around the ipsilateral inferior neuropils (Yu et al., 2013; Ito et al., 2013. (Yu et al., 2013, Ito et al., 2013)
DPMl2 assigned as a 'new' name for this in Hartenstein nomenclature in Schlegel et al., 2024 - FlyBase:FBrf0260535 despite having previously been used as a lineage name in Pereanu and Hartenstein (2006) - FBrf0194268. The old 'DPMl2' turned out to be a component of the DPLm2 lineage and not a lineage in its own right (Wong et al., 2013 - FBrf0223298).
