Lobula columnar neuron whose cell body lies in the dorsal area of the lateral cell body rind (Schumacher et al., 2019). It belongs to the VPNp1 lateral hemilineage (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024. It has its main dendritic arbors in the ipsilateral lobula layers 2 and 4, covering only the anterior lobula (Schumacher et al., 2019; Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024. It projects to the superior posterior slope of both hemispheres and the ipsilateral posterior lateral protocerebrum (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024. There are approximately 6 of these cells per hemisphere (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024. (Dorkenwald et al., 2024, Wu et al., 2016)
