Motor neuron that innervates the dorsal ISN innervated muscles of larval abdominal segments A1-7. The dendritic domain of the motor neuron is located in the lateral neuropile.

The lateral, intermediate and medial neuropil fields follow a set of evenly distributed longitudinal fascicles that are labelled by anti-Fas2 antibody (Landgraf et al., 2003). The motor neuron MN-DA2, unlike other ISN motor neurons, has dendrites in the intermediate and lateral regions (Mauss et al., 2009).
