These are probably the most numerous of the single region-innervating zone A Johnston organ neurons (Ishikawa et al., 2017. Their cell bodies tend to be scattered around the entire inner layer of the Johnston organ (Ishikawa et al., 2017. It is a type 1 zone A Johnston organ neuron (Kim et al., 2020.
