G2N-1 [FBbt_00051850]
G2N-1
ID: FBbt_00051850
Intrinsic neuron of the adult gnathal ganglion that has its soma in a lateral region and receives input from sweet taste neurons in the PMS4 region (Miyazaki et al., 2015; Shiu et al., 2022. It also receives input from high salt gustatory neurons (Shiu et al., 2022. It has both input and output terminals in PMS4, including some in the contralateral hemisphere (Miyazaki et al., 2015. It is predicted to be cholinergic and its activation results in proboscis extension (Shiu et al., 2022. It is predicted to be a primary neuron (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024. There are 2 of these cells per organism (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024. (Miyazaki et al., 2015, Dorkenwald et al., 2024, Sterne et al., 2021, Shiu et al., 2022)
Neurotransmitter prediction based on machine learning classification (Shiu et al., 2022. FlyWire CB0616 mapped to G2N-1 in Shiu et al., 2024 - FBrf0260565 supplement.
