Adult fruitless neuron that develops from neuroblast DM6 (Ren et al., 2016) and has its cell body in the posterior medial protocerebrum (Cachero et al., 2010). There are more of these cells in males than females (Ren et al., 2016).

Adult fruitless neuron that develops from neuroblast DM6 (Ren et al., 2016) and has its cell body in the posterior medial protocerebrum (Cachero et al., 2010). There are more of these cells in males than females (Ren et al., 2016).
Cachero et al. (2010) report around 21 cells per hemisphere.
