Adult fruitless neuron with its cell body located dorsolateral to the ventrolateral protocerebrum (VLP) (Yu et al., 2010. Its neurite enters a tract below the anterior optic tubercle and branches, with one branch arborizing in the ipsilateral VLP and the other continuing medially and crossing the midline (Yu et al., 2010. (Yu et al., 2010)
Yu et al., 2010 map this to Kimura et al., 2008 - FBrf0205974 AL5b and Cachero et al. (2010) - FBrf0211926 aIP-c. aIP-c seems to correspond to two clusters - mapped to AL5b and AL6b by Cachero et al. (2010). Therefore, aSP10/AL5b, is probably a subtype of aIP-c.
