Adult fruitless neuron that develops from neuroblast ALad1 (Ito et al., 2013; Yu et al., 2013). There are approximately 33 of these cells per hemisphere (Cachero et al., 2010).

Lineage is ALad1 (adPN) according to Ito et al. (2013) and includes VA1v PNs in Cachero et al. (2010), so this is a parent to the VA1v adPN (FBbt:00067361).
