Dorsal cervical muscle that connects to the cervical sclerite and extends dorsomedially to the pronotum (Miller, 1950; Strausfeld et al., 1987; Gorko et al., 2024. It is innervated by the DProN5 motor neuron (Gorko et al., 2024. (Miller, 1950, Gorko et al., 2024)
Based on dorsoventral orientation, attachment of ventral end to the cervical sclerite and mapping of muscle 21 to LEV, this seems to correspond to the AD muscle in Gorko et al., 2024.
