ID: FBbt_20007552
Adult sensory neuron with its soma in the periphery (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024). It enters the brain via the occipital nerve and in the brain, it remains restricted to the gnathal ganglion (Sturner et al., 2025). In the ventral nerve cord (VNC) it projects to the neck and haltere neuropils on both sides (Sturner et al., 2025). It has substantial output to AN06B025 in both the brain and VNC (Sturner et al., 2025). Its predicted neurotransmitter is acetylcholine (Eckstein et al., 2024). There are two of these cells on each side (Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Schlegel et al., 2024; Sturner et al., 2023).
