DNpe041 [FBbt_20003152]

Adult descending neuron of the posterior brain of the DNpe041 group (Berg et al., 2025. It belongs to the DM2 central hemilineage (Berg et al., 2025. It receives input in the ipsilateral superior lateral protocerebrum, superior medial protocerebrum, superior clamp, superior intermediate protocerebrum, flange, T1 leg neuropil and T2 leg neuropil, the contralateral T1 leg neuropil, and the gnathal ganglion, prow and lower tectulum (Berg et al., 2025. It sends output to the ipsilateral accessory mesothoracic neuropil, superior lateral protocerebrum, superior medial protocerebrum, superior intermediate protocerebrum, flange, T1 leg neuropil and T2 leg neuropil, the contralateral flange and T1 leg neuropil, and the gnathal ganglion, prow and lower tectulum (Berg et al., 2025. Its predicted neurotransmitter is gaba (Eckstein et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. (Dorkenwald et al., 2024, Eckstein et al., 2024)

Cell type identified in multiple EM datasets (Scheffer et al., 2020; Schlegel et al., 2024; Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Marin et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. Synapse locations are given where each cell of this type in neuprint has at least 10 connections. Hemilineage information from neuprint, though original source not clear.
