DNpe031
ID: FBbt_20002174
Adult descending neuron of the posterior brain of the DNpe031 group (Berg et al., 2025. It receives input in the ipsilateral accessory mesothoracic neuropil, gorget, epaulette, posterior ventrolateral protocerebrum, anterior ventrolateral protocerebrum, posterior lateral protocerebrum, superior clamp, inferior clamp, flange and T3 leg neuropil, and the cervical connective, gnathal ganglion, saddle and abdominal neuromere (Berg et al., 2025. It sends output to the ipsilateral accessory mesothoracic neuropil, gorget, epaulette, posterior ventrolateral protocerebrum, anterior ventrolateral protocerebrum, inferior clamp, flange, T1 leg neuropil, T2 leg neuropil and T3 leg neuropil, and the gnathal ganglion, saddle, lower tectulum and abdominal neuromere (Berg et al., 2025. Its predicted neurotransmitter is glutamate (Eckstein et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. (Dorkenwald et al., 2024, Eckstein et al., 2024)
Cell type identified in multiple EM datasets (Scheffer et al., 2020; Schlegel et al., 2024; Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Marin et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. Synapse locations are given where each cell of this type in neuprint has at least 10 connections.
