DNpe021 [FBbt_20001012]
DNpe021
ID: FBbt_20001012
Adult descending neuron of the posterior brain of the DNpe021 group (Berg et al., 2025. It belongs to the SMPpv2 ventral hemilineage (Berg et al., 2025. It receives input in the ipsilateral superior medial protocerebrum, gorget, epaulette, vest, posterior ventrolateral protocerebrum, anterior ventrolateral protocerebrum, posterior lateral protocerebrum, superior clamp, inferior clamp, wedge and superior posterior slope, and the cervical connective, gnathal ganglion, inferior bridge, saddle, lower tectulum and abdominal neuromere (Berg et al., 2025. It sends output to the ipsilateral accessory mesothoracic neuropil, vest, wedge, flange, T1 leg neuropil and T3 leg neuropil, and the gnathal ganglion, saddle, lower tectulum, intermediate tectulum and abdominal neuromere (Berg et al., 2025. Its predicted neurotransmitter is acetylcholine (Eckstein et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. (Eckstein et al., 2024, Dorkenwald et al., 2024)
Cell type identified in multiple EM datasets (Scheffer et al., 2020; Schlegel et al., 2024; Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Marin et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. Synapse locations are given where each cell of this type in neuprint has at least 10 connections. Hemilineage information from neuprint, though original source not clear.
