DNp104 [FBbt_20001029]

Adult descending neuron of the posterior brain of the DNp104 group (Berg et al., 2025. It belongs to the PSp2 hemilineage (Berg et al., 2025. It receives input in the ipsilateral lateral accessory lobe, superior medial protocerebrum, gorget, vest, posterior lateral protocerebrum, superior clamp, inferior clamp, crepine, antler, superior posterior slope, flange and cantle, the contralateral superior posterior slope, and the gnathal ganglion, inferior bridge, saddle, lower tectulum and intermediate tectulum (Berg et al., 2025. It sends output to the ipsilateral lateral accessory lobe, superior medial protocerebrum, vest, crepine, superior posterior slope, flange and cantle, and the gnathal ganglion, saddle, lower tectulum, intermediate tectulum and abdominal neuromere (Berg et al., 2025. Its predicted neurotransmitter is acetylcholine (Eckstein et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. (Eckstein et al., 2024, Dorkenwald et al., 2024)

Cell type identified in multiple EM datasets (Scheffer et al., 2020; Schlegel et al., 2024; Dorkenwald et al., 2024; Marin et al., 2024; Berg et al., 2025. Synapse locations are given where each cell of this type in neuprint has at least 10 connections. Hemilineage information from neuprint, though original source not clear.
